Magnetic Electric LLC was founded in 2022 by Brian Yurkins. A Master Electrician from NYC, Brian has been dedicated to the industry for over 35 years. We are excited to serve the South Charlotte Metro area!

First was to install additional Ethernet drops using Cat 5e cable in several areas in our new home. Wired Ethernet is faster than WiFi. The came in a crawled around in the attic space installing the cables to our Router cabinet. We have fiber at 2GIG into the house. They also installed some automatic switches that turn on lights in some rooms automatically. Cost was reasonable. The workers are excellent and cleaned up after themselves Today they installed a new 240 VAC EV charger with copper wire sized for a future amperage rating of 48 amps. We only have a plug-in hybrid and did not need the higher capacity wire but if we sell it could be a significant advantage at sale time. Again, the same crew came and did a faboulous job. Gave the workers a $100 tip each. They deserved it. I love these guys. Richard

The owner Brian came out the very next morning to look at our situation and quote us on the job Brian was very personable and easy to speak with. I thought his estimate was very reasonable and asked when he could do the job. He said that he actually had an opening the following morning which worked out perfectly for us. The following morning Brian arrived with 2 of his employees. He walked them through what we discussed.  His employees were very professional and completed the job quickly.  They cleaned up where they were working which I appreciated. If you are looking for a company who is responsive, professional and very reasonable give them a call. We were very pleased!

We have had them out a few times to pretty much completely re-do things in our older property here in Charlotte, making our home brighter, more energy efficient and updating to smart technology.  He helped us add several wired ring cams as well. Years of experience in a variety of settings really comes across as he's working to solve issues. They also did a couple smaller jobs for me, like installing smart switches. I will use them again for any electrical needs and highly recommend them. Great team of individuals!

Mark Holm

Technician

Mark Holm is a native New York resident who moved from Long Island NY to Waxhaw, NC in 2022. Mark and his wife have four beautiful children and love living here. Mark has over 11 years of experience as an electrician which he obtained mostly in NY, working on and managing large residential and commercial projects. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Magnetic Electric and a level of professionalism you won’t find anywhere else.

Paul Giraldo

Technician

Paul is originally from Corona, Queens, New York, and has proudly called North Carolina home for the past 20 years. With extensive experience in both commercial and residential electrical work, Paul has been serving Charlotte and the surrounding communities with dependable, high-quality service. Drawing on his broad background, Paul is skilled at quickly identifying and resolving a wide range of electrical issues. He is known for his personable nature, meticulous attention to detail, and commitment to delivering top-tier electrical solutions that customers can trust.

Ruben Shmakov

Technician

Ruben is a professional electrician with several years of hands-on experience in the trade. He takes pride in delivering reliable, high-quality workmanship with a strong emphasis on safety, precision, and customer satisfaction. Whether performing troubleshooting, installations, or system upgrades, Ruben approaches every project with careful attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job right. Outside of work, Ruben is an avid soccer enthusiast who enjoys both playing and following the game. The discipline, teamwork, and work ethic he has developed through soccer carry over into his professional life and every project he undertakes. Elijah McAllister

Elijah McAllister began his electrical career in 2023 and joined Magnetic Electric in May of 2025. He has developed a strong foundation in both residential and commercial electrical work through extensive hands-on jobsite experience. Known for his reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to safety, Elijah approaches every project with professionalism and care. He is highly motivated to continue expanding his skills and takes pride in delivering dependable, high-quality workmanship as a valued member of the Magnetic Electric team.

Lucas VanHeule

Technician

Lucas VanHeule is a lifelong North Carolina resident, with roots stretching from the mountains of Boone to the countryside of Waxhaw. An Eagle Scout since 2014, Lucas brings a strong sense of discipline, leadership, and service to everything he does. He has a genuine passion for the outdoors and a commitment to helping others. Lucas began his electrical career in 2021, wiring new construction homes throughout Charlotte and the surrounding areas. Since then, he has expanded his expertise to include remodels, new installations, troubleshooting, commercial projects, and service calls. Known for his friendly demeanor and can-do attitude, Lucas is a valued and welcoming member of the Magnetic Electric team.

Amber Haywood

Accounts Manager

Amber started at Magnetic Electric in November of 2024 bringing with her, over 10 years of administrative experience in the service and construction industry. Amber quickly made an impact on the company and has essentially become the glue that keeps our machine running flawlessly. Amber also has experience working for a county permitting office which has helped us navigate some technical challenges. She and her son are natives of Waxhaw and we are thrilled to have her onboard.

Hannah Dixon

Marketing/Accounts Manager

Hannah joined Magnetic Electric with a background in communications and visual storytelling. She earned her degree in Communications with a minor in Film Studies from UNC Charlotte and brings a creative and thoughtful approach to marketing the Magnetic Electric brand. Hannah enjoys helping share the company’s commitment to safety, quality, and reliability. Outside of work, she enjoys watching movies, spending time with her dog, and being outdoors.
